Avoid Apex Performance Cars at all costs! I regret ever stepping foot in their dealership. In July 2024, I bought a 2019 Jaguar E-Pace from them, and everything seemed fine at first. But as soon as the weather turned cooler, a disturbing tapping sound started coming from the engine on cold mornings. I contacted them in October 2024, and they recommended a diagnostic test. After a long wait, the diagnosis in November revealed I needed a new engine. When I contacted Apex with the report, they flat-out refused to help, claiming the car was out of warranty. I was left with a broken engine just three months after buying it. Fortunately, I had financed the car, so I filed a complaint with them on December 8th, 2024. I was told not to drive the car, which meant I was stuck without a vehicle. After taking the car to a main dealer in January 2025, I learned it didn’t need a new engine but rather a new timing chain and cams. I sent the updated report to Apex, and they STILL refused to do anything. By March 2025, I had been without a car for four months, facing huge financial strain from diagnostic costs, transport alternatives, and the ongoing car payments, insurance, and tax for a car that didn’t even work. Only after months of hassle did Apex finally agree to cover the repair costs, but this wouldn’t have happened without the intervention of the finance company’s legal team. Apex completely ignored their responsibilities under consumer rights laws. They’re quick to take your money, but once problems arise, they couldn’t care less. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Apex Performance Cars in Huddersfield – they’ll sell you a lemon and leave you high and dry when things go wrong!
