Sly practices, do not believe 'fully refundable' terms only provided after funds received, complete lack of empathy

These people are crooks, steer well clear.
I viewed a car and placed down a holding deposit which I was informed several times by the sales rep and the manager David Merino that it was fully refundable.
The car itself needed some work, engine work as well and interior work, which they agreed to fix. The car itself had a pretty large crack approx 11cm on the windscreen which I was assured was recently MOT on site which pass the legal requirement.
This was a lie and a fraudulent MOT.
When I challenged this as well as my concerns of potential other things which passed the MOT which wasn’t to the legal level, I requested my fully refundable deposit as promised back.
I then had several days of back and forth where they were determined not to let me have the deposit back, this included them offering to fix the windscreen. I informed them that I was to flex the consumer rights act where I do not have to accept a fix. They then refused to speak to me as I didn’t accept the proposal to a fix and they went onto sell the car to some poor person during the dispute which was also against the contractual terms in their agreement. I’m now pursuing legal proceedings.
They are crooks as they are selling shoddy cars and doing their own in house MOT & servicing which in this instance has been certified illegally. Be very careful. Trading standards are investigating as this handling does not meet the acceptable standards on trade in the UK.
