SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN!! Avoid at all costs! It doesn’t even warrant the 1 star I have to give it. What a terrible ordeal we have and still are experiencing after buying a vehicle from Leighton car sales. Bought what seemed to be a lovely car from here, only to find it’s a disaster with fault after fault. Had the car 10 weeks now, it’s been in the garage 6 times and is still faulty. Found Matt to be extremely rude, and a complete liar, one lie after another never getting the vehicle sorted, told it was serviced, it wasn’t, told it had things fixed from advisories, it hadn’t and the story goes on! Finally after numerous attempts at resolution I rejected the vehicle and requested a refund, surprise surprise no refund, which given the circumstances from the offset, I am legally entitled to. Won’t give out complaints policy or refund policy, just ignore those requests, can never get to speak to a manager, according to Matt “we can do what we like with no recourse” One of the members of staff Wayne is lovely, and I have to say has tried to be helpful to me, but is ultimately led by this invisible manager who doesn’t manage at all from what i have seen. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE. I am £9850 out of pocket and having to pay solicitors now to pursue a legal court case on my behalf.

I purchased a car from these at the beginning of October. It is now the end of January, and the same problems persist after taking the car back 3 times. It was not ready for a week and a half after the arranged pick up date, and it was fortunate that we rang before we made the hour-long trip as they didn’t tell us. The stop/start system has never worked and still doesn’t, I still have smoke coming from the engine and through the vents, the tyre pressure monitor is broken, and they just kept resetting it, the handbrake cable snapped after they changed the calliper, the temperature reading is wrong, and the coolant level disappears and refills under pressure.
They had my car for 2 weeks over Christmas and it was hardly worked on and still wasn’t ready when we got there at the arranged time and still isn’t fixed. They quickly put a battery in and didn’t put the cover back on securely. My car came back missing dust caps, had a punctured tyre that I’ve had to replace at my own cost and was full of mud on the carpets and seats as their grounds are like a swamp.
3 months on, and I still don’t have a logbook for the car as they made a mistake on it. I have had different stories from Matt each time I have queried it and he finally admitted that he never sent it off. I am now faced with a bill from a trusted garage for the car to be fixed properly and pay for the logbook they messed up which will add an extra owner onto the car.
Take this review as fair warning and go elsewhere! I am not the only customer they have messed around have a look on trust pilot and another car sites.. I wish I did!
