Please think VERY carefully before you trust this company to sell you a roadworthy car. They advertise cars with a fresh 12-month MOT but, as we discovered, to our costs - they are willing to sell unroadworthy cars. We purchased online and took delivery of a Vauxhall Corsa that came minus two wheel bolts and a third broken one, despite the car being collected the SAME DAY as the 'fault-free MOT.' They made a driver travel 300 miles with WHEELS THAT WERE NOT PROPERLY ATTACHED TO THE CAR. Two bolts were missing and a third was snapped inside the wheel. This was evident in images taken of the car prior to its delivery, post delivery and even in a pre-sale video (before the 'MOT'). I have all this evidence and will be using it to pursue the matter. 'The fault-free MOT' has, today, been subjected to a DVSA appeal and shown that there were actually 15 faults on the car - Two dangerous, eight major and five advisories. This is less than three weeks after the 'fresh MOT' took place and the car has been deemed illegal and unroadworthy as a result. I have been quoted costs of around £1000 from a trusted local garage to get the car into the state where it can be deemed legal and roadworthy. Leeds Car House are not forthcoming on payment for this. I am within the 30-day right to reject period and have attempted to exercise this right. The company are now attempting to charge for 'admin, warranty and delivery' costs and charge return of the vehicle to their base to me. WARRANTY ISSUES: This was not given, as promised on purchase of the car. Instead, mysteriously, this was purchased by the trader when it refused to engage with me over my initial contact over the missing/damaged wheel bolts. I believe, it was their hope, that I would contact the warranty company for an issue that was present on delivery of the car and they could wash their hands of any responsibility. Please think, very carefully, before you are seduced by any 'fault free' fresh MOT for this car.
