****You have been warned!!! *** I recently made the unfortunate decision to purchase a car from Vortex Cars, and I feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to prospective buyers. I bought what was marketed as a low-mileage, one-owner vehicle sourced from a reputable main dealership, only to discover that the car had undergone significant repairs—costly repairs—prior to the sale. Shockingly, just two months later, those repairs failed, rendering the car completely unusable. The sales team will say anything to secure a sale, demonstrating a clear lack of concern for after-sales care. Once the transaction is completed, you’re on your own. I found it nearly impossible to get them to respond to my subsequent inquiries; they simply vanished after receiving my payment. Feeling let down, I escalated my concerns to the Director. His assurances of help were nothing more than empty promises. He claimed he would look into the garage responsible for the repairs and even offered a hire car. However, when I raised valid concerns about the size of the hire car and potential ULEZ charges, my emails went unanswered, and my car was never collected. Instead, I received a letter from their solicitor proposing to buy the car back for £2,000 less than I originally paid! Naturally, I refused. The unprofessionalism continued as their solicitor indicated they would not cover any repair costs should I choose to handle the repairs myself. Vortex Cars has left me in a dire situation, forcing me into what looks like a protracted and expensive legal battle. The customer service claims on their website are little more than sales talk with no genuine support or responsibility for the vehicles they sell. Once they have your money, you can expect zero assistance with any issues that arise. The numerous negative reviews echo this disturbing pattern, warning of the poor quality of cars supplied and the lack of accountability from the garage. I've owned many cars throughout my life, and I’ve never experienced one that became undrivable within two months. If you’re tempted to trust the overly positive reviews, be wary; they may very well be fabricated or from acquaintances of the business. Remember, people don’t write negative reviews lightly. If anyone is considering purchasing from Vortex Cars, I urge you to reconsider. You will be taking a huge risk.
