With just over 39,100 miles on the clock and first registered in 1991, Senna's NSX is more than just a car – it's a symbol of a bygone era in motorsport.

If you're a fan of speed, precision, and Formula One, you're in for a treat.

A piece of racing history has just hit the market, and it's none other than Ayrton Senna's personal Honda NSX. Yes, you read that right – the three-time Formula One World Champion's iconic red NSX is up for grabs on Auto Trader for a staggering £500,000.

For those unfamiliar, Ayrton Senna remains one of the most revered names in motorsport. Dominating the Formula One scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Senna clinched a total of 41 victories and secured three World Championships with McLaren.

Although his life was tragically cut short during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994, his legacy endures, with fans worldwide continuing to celebrate his remarkable career.

Senna's passion for precision extended beyond the racetrack to his personal collection of cars, and the Honda NSX holds a special place among them. This particular NSX, now in the possession of Robert McFagan from East Sussex, was once cherished by Senna himself.

Photographed washing the car at his Portuguese home in 1991, Senna's red NSX is steeped in history, even making an appearance in the film "Racing is in my Blood," showcasing Senna's unparalleled skill behind the wheel.

Crafted for both speed enthusiasts and collectors alike, the NSX boasts a powerful engine, responsive handling, and an aerodynamic design that promises an exhilarating driving experience. With only a handful of these models in existence, owning Senna's red NSX is a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive and racing history.

Robert McFagan, the current custodian of Senna's NSX, expressed his delight in owning such a significant piece of automotive history. He stated, "I first bought the car in 2013 during a trip to the Algarve in Portugal and have owned it ever since where it has sat proudly at my estate in East Sussex. Senna’s red NSX was given to him by Honda who he had a commercial partnership with and Senna frequently used and was photographed with the car during his stays in Portugal.

"Being a huge Senna fan myself, I was delighted when I was able to get my hands on the NSX which was crafted to perfection and features a sleek and powerful machine to give an incredible experience on the road. It’s been a real pleasure owning what is one of the most famous cars belonging to a true sporting legend and the thrill of driving Senna’s car never goes away."

Erin Baker, Editorial Director at Auto Trader, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the significance of Senna's NSX in the world of motorsport. "Senna’s impact on Formula One and the world of motorsport was immeasurable and Senna’s iconic Honda NSX is a chance to own a rare piece of sporting history which will no doubt turn heads and spark conversations amongst friends, family and neighbours."

With just over 39,100 miles on the clock and first registered in 1991, Senna's NSX is more than just a car – it's a symbol of a bygone era in motorsport. So, if you're in the market for a truly extraordinary ride, look no further than Ayrton Senna's legendary Honda NSX.
