The 2009 Fiat Panda 1.1 Active Eco had a cash price from £5350. The Fiat Panda Eco has co2 emissions of only 119g/km and one year’s road tax is only £35. This model includes ABS and EBD, immobilizer, CD, driver and passenger airbags plus three years manufacturer warranty. Equipment levels have been recently boosted across the Panda range and options include big car features such as smart windscreen wipers, follow me home headlamps, ESP stability control, a Hill Holder function, parking sensors, an MP3 stereo system and Bluetooth mobile phone compatibility. As with any Panda, fuel consumption is pretty but the Eco cars take this even further. Both Fiat Panda Active Eco and Dynamic Eco models return 42.8 mpg in the urban cycle, 68.3 mpg extra urban and 56.5 mpg combined.

If you are looking for the new in demand Fiat 500 1.2 Pop then the new cash price is from £6700 which is a saving of £2000. Standard equipment on the Fiat 500 includes ABS with EBD, immobilizer, driver and passenger airbags and three years manufacturer guarantee. The Fiat 500 Multijet diesel version will average over 65mpg, with the 1.2-litre petrol unit not far behind on around 50mpg. If you’re looking for cheeky, cheap and practical, a Panda is still a slightly better car. If it is a style statement then the Fiat 500 gets the vote every time.
